The SmartGen Power Management System (PMS) solution is designed for automated management of multiple generator sets, including synchronization, parallel operation, and control of connected equipment according to the current power system conditions.
In the presented configuration, the system is based on two HMC6 controllers together with DIN16A and DOUT16B expansion modules. The controllers communicate via MSC Link, enabling coordinated genset operation and real-time system management. The expansion modules provide additional digital inputs and outputs for integration with auxiliary equipment and external control systems.
The PMS automatically performs genset start and stop, synchronization, parallel connection to the common busbar, circuit breaker control, and continuous system status monitoring. Remote equipment control and additional automation sequences can also be implemented according to the requirements of the application.
After busbar power is restored, the system can automatically start connected auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, ventilation systems, or other technological equipment, according to predefined operating conditions and sequences.
This solution is suitable for industrial facilities, pumping stations, power generation facilities, infrastructure systems, and other applications with multiple generator sets where centralized and reliable automatic power management is required.
