The SmartGen marine power solution is designed for integrated control, protection and monitoring of shipboard power systems, including main and auxiliary diesel generator sets, emergency generators, shaft generators, shore power connections and the main propulsion system.
The system provides automatic genset start/stop, generator synchronization and parallel operation, load sharing, switchgear control and continuous monitoring of the ship’s electrical network. Different power sources can be integrated through the main switchboard, enabling automatic selection and coordination of the most appropriate power supply mode.
Dedicated emergency generator control provides backup power for critical onboard systems in the event of a main power supply failure. Integration of the shaft generator and shore power connection enables flexible energy management according to the vessel’s operating conditions, whether underway, in port or during an emergency.
