The SmartGen solution is designed for automatic load transfer between two independent power sources, such as the utility mains and a standby generator set. The system continuously monitors the availability and electrical parameters of both sources and automatically transfers the load when the preferred power source fails or operates outside the configured limits.
The SmartGen controller provides voltage and frequency monitoring, ATSE switching device control, and configurable automatic transfer logic. The solution is compatible with different types of transfer switching equipment, including PC-, CB-, and CC-class ATSE devices, allowing the system to be adapted to specific application requirements.
If the primary power source fails or its parameters become abnormal, the system automatically transfers the load to the available standby source. Once the preferred source has been restored and stabilized, the controller transfers the load back according to the configured operating sequence and time delays.
For critical loads, synchronized transfer between the two power sources can be implemented to minimize or virtually eliminate power interruption during source transfer.
This solution is suitable for industrial facilities, hospitals, data centers, telecommunications sites, commercial buildings, and critical infrastructure where reliable backup power and automatic restoration of power supply are essential.
